We often let our feelings determine our reality. But today, let’s remember that God’s truth is the constant, not our ever-shifting emotions. How often do we try to twist Scripture or rationalize our actions to fit how we feel instead of aligning ourselves with what we know to be right? For me, it’s a daily struggle, a constant recalibration. It’s like tuning a guitar; I’m constantly having to tune my mind and my feelings to God’s Word.
Let’s acknowledge before God when our feelings are out of sync with His word. Let’s ask for the strength to resist the urge to bend truth to our will, and instead, plead for God to purify our perceptions. May our prayer be, “Lord, transform my feelings so they reflect Your truth, not my own desires.”

This devotion is sent weekly to staff during school terms. It has been lightly edited for a general audience.
